How can you deal with writers block?

By Michael Green, Oct 23 2017 11:36AM

So you're sitting there with a blank sheet of paper and you're struggling to start that song. You've got writers block... or have you?

For me it's not a case of having writer's block it's more of a case of not being prepared to write a bad song. As songwriters we want everything we write to be amazing and a hit song. However to get to the gold you have to be prepared to go through the mud.

Here's a video from Anthony Ceseri, of Success For Your Songs talking about why it's good to write bad songs.

So if you're struggling to write that song just come up with anything and don't worry about trying to write the best song ever. The more you write the chances are the creativity will flow so much more.
