Michael moved to Seattle in the mid 1980's and discovered a music and art scene that was unique. After seeing rock groups that would later become famous (Nirvana, Sound garden, Alice Chains, Walkabouts, etc) Michael decided to "go electric" and start his own bands. He stated his own Record Label (Blimp Kitty Records) in 1990. Michael released 5 compilation recordings of local Seattle Bands in the next 10 years along with multiple local band projects such as "Dungeon Party", "Bangwhistle", "She" , "Stickfigures", "This Perfect Life", and "SaucyJane". Michael was a member of NARAS for 3 years (the Grammy Nominating Committee) and participated in the Grammy nomination process. He has been selected to be on various boards and committees that involve northwest music. Michael was also the Editor of a local Internet On-line music magazine sponsored by Musicians Network (which was founded by Alex Johnson) for 4 years.
Michael is still putting together new music projects and works full time as a guitar and bass teacher. Michael also does volunteer work with animals in West Seattle.
